SUNFLEX SVG99/155 thermally broken aluminium

The SVG99/155 is manufactured from an aluminium extrusion, which has been thermally broken by a polyamide insulation bar. In the situation where there is a need for an extra tall panel, a reinforcing profile can be added both internally and externally if required to prevent any deflection, in the case of an extra wide panel, extra running carriages may be added.

The maximum size dimensions are dependent upon a maximum panel weight limit of 250–280 kilograms, but can be manufactured up to 2800mm tall and up to approximately 2500mm wide (Note - panels must not exceed 2100mm in both directions).

Track options

The SVG99/155 Sliding door system is available as a twin (99mm front to back) or triple track (155mm front to back) option, with 1 to 6 panels. Whatever the opening variation, the track incorporates drainage channels and depending on the type of external floor finish can be recessed into the ground to give a virtually level threshold.

Security

The system as you would expect, offers a very high level of security as standard and is designed with an anti-lifting device, preventing the removal of individual panels. With a full thermally broken aluminium reinforced interlock between each of the panels it is impossible to lever them apart. The SVG99/155 incorporates a 5 point multi-point key-locking mechanism and 5 Lever euro profile cylinder, which complies with the requirements of the Association of British Insurers and is internally glazed for added security.

Weather seals

The SVG99/155 is a severe weather rated system (Category C, BS 6375 Part 1). Each panel is fully rebated, with concealed double polypropylene nylon brush strips with a centre fin seal surrounding the perimeter of each panel.

Operating system

The operating mechanism consists of a double tandem stainless steel bottom-running carriage, coated with a glass reinforced polyamide, triple if the weight of the panel exceeds 250kilograms. These act a lot like a cars suspension, running on a stainless steel guide rail. A hardwearing threshold cover plate protects the track from damage. Taller panels that feature a vertical strengthening profile, which doubles as a side pull rail. This heavy-duty system guarantees smooth, effortless operation with long life and reliable performance.

Design options

Designs can be customised according to preference including mid rails, mullions, deeper top and bottom profiles and solid in fill panels etc.

Complete system

A slimmer profile version of the SVG99/155 can be manufactured as single doors, French doors, tilt and turn windows and fixed glazed screens. Thus using a similar profile sections it is possible to achieve an aesthetically uniform appearance throughout.
